Fairly early in the morning and we are approaching Vancouver.
Some of these ships look abandoned to me. Not sure if they are or not.
Looks like Hong Kong.
We have to go under this bridge.
Honestly, it's a bit close. Maybe 18 or 20 feet of clearance. I made a movie which shows it better. Had to switch between movies and stills very quickly.
Obviously big into shipping. Also shown: a Ferry boat.
Vancouver, with the cool port obviously designed for cruise ships, to make them feel extra welcome.
Priya liked the huge piles of Yellow Stuff.
Coming up to the pier.
Yup, really does look like Hong Kong.
Working our way in, sideways.
Those amazing thrusters which force the ship sideways.
Now THIS is a gang-plank. And they have TWO!!! Talk about service!
I get reception again and the iPhone tells us where we are, compared to our Hotel, the Westin Grand.
Make friends easy in Canada, dewd!!
Sheesh! Probably expects them all to speak English, for Chirssakes.
(oh wait, they mostly do in B.C., he's in luck)
Our Hotel, the Westin Grand. Our room is on this curved side.
Our room is about a 600-700 sq ft suite on the 27th floor. Thanks to our Starwood AMEX card.
Has a separate tub, and shower ( shower not shown)
A small dish washer!
And some views!
This amazing building is the public library. Fricking liberals....
